I’ve come to realise why happily ever afters are only in fairytales, it’s because in reality, people grow and change. Things that once used to be enough aren’t anymore. Expectations are raised, and not met. People get disappointed, hurt and eventually they drift apart to a point of no return.
All anyone is ever left with, at the end of the day, are faded memories.
